  5. Hi guys...
    - Excellent job with library and my bosses like to donate to you if i develop any applcation with this component.
    - i'm trying to use with Kinect SDK. Showing images, depth, but not detect hands or fingers.
    - Have a particular gesture to start detection?

  6. Hi Isac

    Thanks a lot!

There is no particular gesture. Currently your hand must be in a certain depth range. The default is 500mm to 800mm.

The current version of KinectSDK does not return any values below 800mm (there is a filter that's unfortunately not configurable). You can set the depth range to 800mm - 1000mm for the Kinect, but the algorithm works best between 500 and 800mm (farther away there are too few pixels per finger). In the sample application you can click settings to change the minimum and maximum depth threshold properties.

For now I must recommend using OpenNI (also, there is no commercial license available for KinectSDK yet).

This will all change when Microsoft releases their commercial Kinect for Windows that supports a "near mode" down to 400mm. I think they haven't announced a release date yet (they say early 2012).

    Regards
    Stefan

  10. thanks for you atention and i'm talk when needs help.
You have plans to complete library with pre-determinate commands, like, click, slide down / up/left/right, right click, etc..???

  11. I've thought about adding such events. Some would be easy like "Hand openend" or "Hand closed".

But I can't tell you when that'll be done.

  12. Thanks a lot.

I trying to crete now some events like, click with one finger

  13. i think the hand open/close would be easy with a boolean. and sending mouse command/movement in .net is just 1 line of code.
    what about something more challenging?
    maybe TUIO?

  14. Just personalized commands for private softwares like open menu, clique navigation, rotate, like to image viewer
